Sponsoring, Assembling and distributing Winter Care kits along with serving hot soup .

Come Join the Muindi Foundation and pitch in to give back to our community by sponsoring, preparing and distributing, hot soup, coffee, healthy snack and Winter Care kits to the homeless in our community.

- One brown lunch costs $3.00 (one small latte)

- One toiletry kit costs $7.00 (one large latte)

We are a group of people drawn together by a common desire to serve others, to use our time, talent and resources to advocate for and help those in our community who need it most. We believe in the value of every individual and the compound effects kindness and generosity. In the midst of the wealthy Silicon Valley, we recognize that many have been left behind. Collectively, through the ripple effects of simple acts of service, we believe we can profoundly create a shift in this reality.

Our mission is to bring people and resources together to meet the needs of the underserved in our community, specifically the homeless, houseless and those in risk of becoming so in the Silicon Valley.

What we do day of:

1. Just bring yourselves at 8:30 am Saturday morning

2. Meet in West San Jose (near Campbell) at 9:00 am to assemble the lunches. (Address given to those attending the event)

3. Bring a donation for (bananas, granola bars, bottled waters, apple sauce or fruit in a cup (optional)

4. Bring donation for toiletry kits, toothbrushes, soaps, underwear, socks, lotion, Bath wipes (optional)

We will need your help to:

1. Assemble 50 winter kits together

2. Pack 50 healthy snacks

3. Distribute hot coffee, hot soup, winter care kits and a healthy snack in downtown SJ homeless camps near Guadalupe river.

Schedule:

8:15 am - 8:30 am Register and receive instructions on assignments

8:30 am – 9:30 am - Assemble Snack Packs and Winter Care kits

9:30 am – 10:00 Travel to Homeless camps in downtown San Jose

10:00 am – 12: pm - Distribute hot soup, coffee, healthy snack and winter care kit. and toiletry kits
